Number of vacancies and features of the job vacancy Number of job vacancies: one.Job position: PhD junior researcher.Funded line of research: "Analysis of Earth's rotation using geodetic VLBI observations".Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions.Remuneration: €2,900 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).Second.First project/research group in which the successful applicant will collaborate Name of the research group: Space Geodesy and Space Dynamics.Dept. / Institute: Department of Applied Mathematics.Tasks to be carried out:Calculating the global solution to Earth orientation parameters based on VLBI observations made until 31-12-2024, consistent with conventional celestial and terrestrial reference frames currently in place.Third. Job profile Preference will be given to applicants with:Experience and training related to the tasks specified in the second section of this call and to:Astronomical and geodetic observation techniques: Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI).Experience in the processing and analysis of VLBI observations, preferably gained through activities conducted at VLBI data analysis centres recognised by the IVS (International VLBI Service for Geodesy and Astrometry).Experience in calculating global solutions to Earth orientation parameters based on VLBI data.Geodesy and geomatics.Earth's rotation.Operations, analysis and research related to the VLBI technique in accordance with the IVS's standards and objectives.Qualification:Undergraduate degrees (Spanish MECES level 2 or EQF level 6) and official Master's degrees (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7) in the field of geodesy, topography and geomatics.PhD (Spanish MECES level 4 or EQF level 8) in the field of space geodesy.Fourth. Requirements for applicants Compliance with the requirements listed below must always refer to the date of expiry of the deadline for the submission of applications and must be maintained until the date of entering into the contract.
