No Offer Description Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President to participate in a recruitment process for research staff (contract type: open-ended contract; job category: PhD junior researcher) to collaborate with the funded line of research "Derivatives of SARS-COV-2-inhibitory purine and pyrimidine bases".

General Terms The purpose of this call is to recruit research staff (job category: PhD junior researcher) in the framework of the projects included in the funded line of research "Derivatives of SARS-COV-2-inhibitory purine and pyrimidine bases".
Unit in charge of the line of research: University Institute for Organic Synthesis.
The first project in which the successful applicant(s) will collaborate is outlined in the annex hereto.
The panel in charge of the recruitment process may create a talent pool including candidates whose applications were unsuccessful but who participated in all stages of the recruitment process.
Requirements for Applicants Hold or be in the process of obtaining a PhD (Spanish MECES level 4 or EQF level 8).
Have a document confirming the relevant official approval or statement of comparability for overseas qualifications.
Be a Spanish national or in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
Possess the necessary physical and mental capacities and aptitudes.
Not have been dismissed by disciplinary proceedings from public administrations.

Two-Stage Selection System Merit-based assessment and personal interview, which may be conducted in English.
Job Profile Number of job vacancies: one.
Job position: PhD junior researcher.
Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessions.
Remuneration: €2,147.17 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).
Tasks to be carried out: Working under inert atmosphere conditions and without humidity.
Maintaining and operating conventional HPLC and SFC systems.
Validating organic chemical processes.
Synthesising organic molecules.
Using scientific instruments in a quality laboratory.
Preserving and storing chromatographic columns.
Determining the physical properties of chemical products.
Preparing chiral ligands and catalysts.
Processing samples before analysis.
Carrying out the scale-up of chemical reactions.
Preference will be given to those with: Experience related to the tasks listed.
Knowledge of English and Catalan.
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Master's degree in Medical Chemistry, or PhD in Organic Synthesis.
