NoOffer Description Applications are invited by the University of Alicante President for an open-ended contractual position as a PhD junior researcher to collaborate with the funded line of research "Processing of polymers and other materials". Reference: I-PI 128-24.Project: CRIPROM/20213/3 funded by the Valencia Region Government's Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment.Job Details Number of vacancies: OneJob position: PhD junior researcherFunded line of research: "Processing of polymers and other materials"Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in morning/afternoon sessionsRemuneration: €2,503.03 gross/monthly (including extra payment for that month).Project Collaboration First project: "Fully Biodegradable starch-based plastics for single-use products as a contribution to environment protection and a circular economy".Tasks to be carried out:Search for equipment and materials, decision-making concerning their acquisition.Fine-tuning of equipment.Formulation of biodegradable plastics.Characterisation of plastics.Preparation of results, reports and scientific texts.Attendance to conferences.Job Profile Preference will be given to those with:Experience and training related to the tasks listed above.Synthesis of materials.Pyrolysis and processing of natural and synthetic polymers.Knowledge of Catalan.Qualification:Official Master's degrees related to chemistry (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7).PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Organic Synthesis (Spanish MECES level 4 or EQF level 8), or any other equivalent PhD programme.Requirements for Applicants Compliance with the requirements listed below must always refer to the date of expiry of the deadline for the submission of applications:Hold or be in the process of obtaining a PhD degree certificate (Spanish MECES level 4 or EQF level 8).Hold or be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (Spanish MECES level 2 or EQF level 6), or any other degree with equivalent content, plus an official Master's degree (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7).Be a Spanish national or in one of the situations listed in article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of 30 October.Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age
