Tasks to be carried out:Synthesis and characterisation of photoactive precursors, such as carbon dots and luminescent organometallic compounds.Synthesis and characterisation of hybrid materials based on the encapsulation of said precursors in inorganic matrices (silicas, titanias, zeolites).Physical-chemical characterisation of said materials: elemental composition; NMR, IR, UV and Raman spectroscopy; X-ray diffraction; XPS; TEM-EDX.Photophysical characterisation of the precursors and hybrid materials.Evaluation of the applicability of the materials in light-related (LED devices, sensors and photodynamic therapy) and photocatalytic applications.Assistance in writing related publications and reports.Any other task related to this job position that may arise during the implementation of the project.Third.
Job profilePreference will be given to those with:Experience and training related to the tasks listed above, including:Synthesis of hybrid materials prepared using sol-gel techniques.Synthesis of photoactive (bio)materials.Characterisation techniques applied to said materials: X-ray powder diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, N2 adsorption/desorption, electron and confocal microscopy, small angle X-ray scattering, dynamic light scattering, nuclear magnetic resonance.Photophysics and luminescence.3.2.
Qualification:Official Master's degree in Chemistry or in Materials Science (Spanish MECES level 3 or EQF level 7), or any other official Master's degree with equivalent content.PhD in Materials Science (Spanish MECES level 4 or EQF level 8) or any other PhD programme with equivalent content.Fourth.
Requirements for applicantsCompliance with the requirements listed below must always refer to the date of expiry of the deadline for the submission of applications and must be maintained until the date of entering into the contract.
