Number of job vacancies and employment conditions of the contract:Number of job vacancies: one.Job position: PhD Junior Researcher.Working hours: 37.5 hours/week in the morning/afternoon sessions.Remuneration: €2,200 gross/monthly (plus extra payments in accordance with current regulations).Estimated duration of the contract: 6 months. The duration of the contract will depend on the duration of the project and the budget availability.Second. Purpose.The successful candidate will collaborate in the research project "New VALorisation routes for industrial waste from the processing of pomeGRAnate (VALIGRA)" performing the following tasks:Development of an integrated and sequential technology to maximise the recovery of industrial waste from pomegranate processing.Application of ultrasound technologies for biomass recovery (extraction and characterisation of high added value molecules), and optimisation of scalable systems.Design and experimental characterisation of state-of-the-art electrocatalysts for the processing of lignin from natural sources and the production of fuels.Study of the composting capacity of cellulosic waste.Ultrasonic reactors testing.Dissemination of research results.Third. Job profilePreference will be given to:Those with experience and training related to the tasks mentioned above, including:Material characterisation techniques.Chemical analysis techniques.Experimental techniques in electrochemistry.Experimental techniques in agricultural chemistry.Operation of electrochemical reactors.Operation of sonoreactors.Qualifications:Official Master's degree related to the field of chemistry (MECES level 3 or EQF level 7).PhD degree in a programme in the field of Chemistry or Materials Science (MECES level 4 or EQF level 8).Fourth. Requirements for applicantsCompliance with the requirements listed below must always refer to the date of expiry of the deadline for the submission of applications and must be maintained until the date of entering into the contract:Hold or be in the process of obtaining a PhD degree certificate.
