The candidate will work on developing AI-based tools to improve the reconstruction of volumes, noise reduction, and defect segmentation, classification, and analysis in additive manufacturing materials.PhD candidate or Post-doctoral research associate – Artificial Intelligence applied to enhancement of X-ray Computed TomographyDesignation: PhD candidate or Post-doctoral research associateResearch Area: Artificial Intelligence applied to enhancement of X-ray Computed TomographyPhD candidates: Recent master's graduates (or soon to graduate) in fields related to machine learning, computer science, material science, or related disciplines with excellent academic credentials.Post-doctoral candidates: Experience in AI applied to material science and/or XCT.Experience or knowledge in AI applied to XCT images or any other image is highly valuable.Solid background in programming, preferably Python.Knowledge of machine learning, data analysis, image, and signal treatment.Full proficiency in English, oral and written.Job Description: The candidate will participate in the METALIA project, which aims at developing materials for various applications by additive manufacturing. The focus will be on enhancing XCT capabilities using AI to improve volume reconstruction, noise reduction, and defect segmentation, classification, and analysis.
