Context And Mission
The performance tools group (tools.bsc.es) works in an open-source project where the key component is Paraver, a performance analyzer based on traces with a great flexibility to explore the collected data. The Dimemas simulator can be used to predict the application's behavior under different scenarios. Performance analytics modules extract insight from the raw performance data. Extrae allows capturing the performance data to feed the previous tools. Provided with such tools, the analyst can generate and validate hypotheses to investigate the trails provided by the execution trace.
