Objective
Leading the growth of Hays' People & Culture strategy in Southern Europe, you will define and deliver the plan to ensure best-in-class policies and behaviours that identify, attract, engage and develop the best possible talent for the business' current and future needs.
Your role
A key member of the subregional leadership team contributing to our strategic development.
Responsible for defining (with the subregional board and group P&C leadership) and delivering the People & Culture strategy for Southern Europe.
Accountable, both directly and through teams, for consolidating and evolving people-related policies and behaviours across the subregion.
Ensure that Hays is the employer of choice in each of the national and regional locations.
Establish an innovative and creative culture within P&C departments and across the business.
Harmonise strategies related to recruitment, development, performance management and reward across the subregion where useful.
Support all teams within Southern Europe, including subregional centres in Lisbon SHS, Zaragoza Delivery Centre and any future centralised resources.
Ensure the successful implementation of global P&C initiatives, such as Your Voice and Succession Planning.
Engage with the global P&C network internally within Hays and benchmark best practice externally.
Act as a spokesperson to ensure that Hays' voice on the world of work is a key driver of our reputation externally.

Regional MD Southern Europe, engaging with global and regional P&C leadership.
Key deliverables Talent attraction:Establish clear EVP for each of our businesses.Invest in sustainable sources that will enrich our pipeline of internal talent.Work with in-country teams to ensure that recruitment processes are agile, efficient and support our DEI values and commitments.Performance management of hiring strategies to ensure constant improvement of methodologies.Resource management:Support Country MD's in order to achieve correct headcount levels according to subregional budgets.Ensure that People & Culture resourcing is appropriate in regards to staffing and tools, proposing investment cases where relevant and analysing subsequent ROI.Management of departmental budgets.Engagement & Development:Optimise the employee experience across Hays Southern Europe.Work with in-country teams to produce and execute action plans related to the results of the annual Your Voice employee satisfaction survey.Maximise employee productivity in conjunction with operational teams, ensuring that P&C touchpoints and leadership behaviours are all designed and used.Guarantee creative and structured onboarding and training programmes that are up-to-date and tailored to the most relevant gaps in skillset and opportunities.Liaison with region and group to select appropriate attendees on training courses outside the subregion and consolidate their learning.Ensure that career paths are aligned and optimal, applicable to all staff in the various business units and functions.Reward:Analysis of reward and compensation structures with a view to proposing improvements to operational leadership that guarantee optimal results.Collaboration with payroll teams and national P&C departments to ensure correct implementation of reward commitments.Supervision of company benefits programme, aligning the subregion where possible and prioritising the employee experience.Governance:Responsibility for compliance with local labour legislation.Collaboration with internal audit procedures and financial regulations.Delivery of regional and group projects where required.Advise senior leadership on all matters related to People & Culture.Competencies & Behaviours
