.Offer Description On 3rd of December of 2024, the University of Huelva issues the following resolution for the recruitment of a University Graduate commissioned by the Project PCl2024-153497 entitled "Innovative copper slag processing for raw material supply (CUSLAG2RM)", financed by MCIN/AEI.

Languages: ENGLISH Level Good Contract Profile: The hired person will be in charge of taking samples of copper smelting slag in the areas under investigation of the project.
Later in the laboratory he/she will contribute to the chemical and mineralogical characterization of the samples, which includes conventional techniques such as: digestion to determine the total concentration of elements and sequential extractions to study their mobility in the different environmental compartments using ICP-AES, ICP-MS and HPLC, and mineralogical characterization using XRD and SEM-EDS.
In addition, he/she will have to send proposals to synchrotron light facilities, develop synchrotron experiments and interpret the data obtained.
Eligibility Criteria Preferred Merits: Master in Science and Water Technology Selection Process: Merits based tender process (maximum 10 points): Master in Science and Water Technology (4 points).
Demonstrable experience in obtaining and managing data derived from the use of synchrotron light techniques (4 points).
International publications in indexed journals in relation to the activities of the contract, especially on environmental aspects of the study area (2 points).
Interview if considered necessary for the complementary evaluation of the candidate.
