ONE EUROPE: ALM Platform Lead Country: Spain
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING ONE EUROPE is looking for an ALM PLATFORM LEAD, based in our SPAIN, PORTUGAL, UK, or POLAND office. Our One Europe vision is to create a better bank, where our customers and our people feel a deep connection with Santander, while at the same time generating value for our shareholders and for society. The following countries will be considered as locations for incorporation: Spain, Portugal, UK, and Poland.
The One Europe ALM Platform Lead will be responsible for building and coordinating the implementation of our European CI/CD Platform and software lifecycle, developing a high-standard solution as per European and Group technology strategy, to accelerate the implementation of the IT vision and the bases on which our transformation is built, in coordination with the integrating countries (Spain, UK, Poland & Portugal). The One Europe ALM Platform Lead will report to the One Europe Technical Platform Lead.
Key Responsibilities: Build and coordinate the implementation of our European ALM Platform, developing a high-standard solution as per European and Group technology strategy, driving the convergence of platforms across the region and maximizing communality and reutilization between countries.Work collaboratively with One Europe stakeholders (other Technical Platform Leads, European Lead Enterprise Architecture, teams for Business and T&O, European projects, regional cross functions - CISO, CDO, and any other relevant function) and Global counterparts to ensure the integrity of Santander's European ALM Platform and SLC, supporting every European project and service lifecycle on an ongoing basis.Define and build the operating model and processes engineering around the European ALM Platform and SLC, required to cover its complete lifecycle and evolution on an ongoing basis: definition, governance, and continuous improvement.Coordinate with Local ALM Platforms owners, supporting the European countries regarding their adoption plans, to accelerate the implementation of the IT Platform and the basis on which our transformation is built, both technical components and processes/operating model.Define and develop the workstreams linked with the Software Transformation Program, including sourcing strategy, SLC optimization, Developer Experience, Testing strategy, etc., in close coordination with Technical Architecture Platform Lead, promoting knowledge and supporting the European countries regarding their adoption plans.Identify opportunities to improve models and processes around technology, software development, and platforms lifecycle, in terms of service quality, agility, efficiency, and delivery to business, reinforcing our transformation.Build and develop the right relationships within One Europe, Global and Local IT teams, and also with key industry players, technology vendors, and partners related to his/her scope of work.EXPERIENCE 5+ years of experience in large scale technology environments.Understanding disruptive technologies and their potential impact on the business.Proficiency in managing and influencing IT change programmes and technology, working with diverse teams.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Experience in software development.Experience in IT processes engineering: definition, governance, and continuous improvement.Financial services business acumen.Deep experience in business/client orientation.Promoter of change, generating trust and building effective networks to develop a high-standard technology strategy.Execution excellence and results-oriented: knowledge of digital technology and ability to think big and listen to Santander context, the market, and customers, defining and developing pragmatic action plans to make things happen, under the best standards of quality, agility, efficiency, and delivery to business.Adaptability and inclusion in multicultural environments and to work effectively across cultures and geographies.Ability to make things happen, even under uncertainty or challenging environments.Ability to build and drive relationships with relevant stakeholders. Highly developed interpersonal skills.OTHER INFORMATION Availability for frequent travel.Proficiency in English. Spanish is valuable.
