Job Description:ROLE PURPOSEThe Head of Regulatory position for Spain, reporting to Global Head of Legal, is accountable for detecting and preventing legal risks, resolving operational and business queries, providing legal solutions, and monitoring compliance with the different regulations that affect the company and its activity.
Additionally, this role involves monitoring the various regulatory and legislative changes that may affect the company to ensure timely adaptation.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist the Group in data protection related matters, such as managing and supervising the personal data treatment process according to the Law and all relevant provisions, instructions, and regulations enacted by the Data Protection Authorities in both the EU and Spain.Assist and follow up on GDPR audits in the Group companies.Assist in keeping security measures up-to-date in the Group companies.Analyze GDPR and provide feedback to internal data protection queries.Maintain and update a Privacy Impact Assessment process.Manage Data Protection Authorities procedures.Perform GDPR training programs in the Group companies.Assist and support operational departments in queries regarding data protection.Assist in handling a variety of compliance related matters in the consumer protection area (both Credit Consumer Law and General Consumer Law).Review and update consumer agreements (both Credit Consumer Law and General Consumer Law).Conduct compliance monitoring and testing.Support any compliance-related internal or external audits as well as regulatory inspections.Define and support the implementation of corrective action plans.Provide guidance to the business.Manage consumer claims in front of Consumer Agencies.Assist and support operational departments in queries regarding consumers (both Credit Consumer Law and General Consumer Law).Knowledge and SkillsGreat people skills and the ability to communicate and cooperate up, down, and across the employee chain, while having a firm grasp of the business.Ethical and principled.Proactive and diligent.A strong constitution and conviction: the strength to stand by difficult decisions and be more influenced by right versus wrong than by relationships, with a willingness to lead in setting the tone for corporate integrity.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong facilitation and presentation skills.Strong project management and planning skills to successfully manage multiple, simultaneous projects.Driven leadership style.Good organizational/time management skills.Critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making abilities.Highly motivated self-starter; ability to initiate andmanage projects with minimal supervision and strong problem resolution skills.Deep knowledge of Credit Consumer Law, General Consumer Law, and Privacy regulation.Strong ability to analyze processes, enact change, and think operationally and strategically to achieve business goals.High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.Able to work effectively as a business partner within a larger client framework.Ability to work with and influence people at all levels of the organization.Ability to navigate through complex issues, interpret, and transform complex scenarios into recommendations for the business.Ability to work independently and as a team leader with excellent interpersonal skills.Bachelor's Degree in Law from a Spanish university, preferably.Intellectual Property specialization is a plus.5 to 7 years of experience in Data Protection and Consumer Law (both Credit Consumer Law and General Consumer Law), with a minimum of 2 years in the industry.Strong influencing and communication skills and the confidence to deal with management at all levels.BENEFITSAttractive compensation, health benefits, kitchen with free coffee and fruit each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
