Job Description
The candidate will be a Space Segment Engineering Team member under the Technical Direction.
The main tasks will be supporting the definition, design, development, and oversight of a telecommunications satellite program in the area of Repeaters and Antennas (Payload).
Support the definition, design, and development of telecommunications systems based on satellite technology.
Requirements
Master's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar.
Programming languages skills (Python, Matlab or similar).
5-year experience on a similar position with hands-on experience or exposure in either payload procurement, payload equipment manufacturing or payload in-orbit operations in GEO and / or LEO.
The candidate shall be fluent in Spanish and English.
Highly collaborative individual, able to build relationships internally and externally across all levels and functions.
Capacity to deal with complex situations with assertiveness.
Be able to provide 24 / 7 on-call support during payload system testing.
Willingness to travel in Spain and / or internationally from time to time.
Technical background. Knowledge in geostationary communication payload architectures and functional operations, covering several of the following aspects:
RF equipment (passive and active), repeater and antenna subsystems.
Optical equipment.
Link budgets.
Repeater RF performance measurement.
Integration and testing: equipment, subsystem and system levels.
Constellation design.
In Orbit testing.
Quality control essentials.
Competency in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) technology and active antenna.
Basic knowledge of satellite platform engineering principles.
