Patient Advocacy Specialist Mission: Reporting to Global Medical Excellence & Operation Director , the Patient Advocacy Specialist will continuously seek to optimize Patient Engagement and Advocacy processes to enhance the way Almirall interacts with patient organizations, further the deployment of meaningful long-term partnerships.
He/she works closely with key internal stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of patient centricity approach and integrate patients' needs in Almirall's solutions which are mutually beneficial to Almirall and the dermatology community.
He/she is responsible for ensuring internal alignment/engagement, communication and implementation of our internal processes related to patient engagement and advocacy, for assigned therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities: Support the Patient Organizations Engagement Initiatives Review Committee, ensuring all relevant patients initiatives are reviewed and endorsed, properly executed.
Support on global patient focused activities: educational materials, disease awareness campaigns, Patients advisory board /council meeting, immersion interview, or specific patients' initiatives.
Support relationships across related business functions (market access, communication, legal, marketing) of all areas to align Almirall approach and ensure delivery of common messages.
Support internal & external communication around specific Health Awareness Days/Patient Advocacy initiatives, and work in close collaboration with Global Corporate Communication team.
Monitor progress against targets.
Develop appropriate KPIs to monitor and report performance of programs and activities for continued improvement in future activities.
Education & Experience: Master's degree in Life Sciences – Health / Public Affairs or similar.Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Pharmaceutical Industry in Medical Affairs is required.Experience of working with Marketing, Compliance environment, Patient Engagement, Public Affairs or Communication is preferable .
