Job Title: Responsible for overseeing the strategy and management of intellectual property

Your Responsibilities: Leadership and strategic development: Develop and implement the company's intellectual property strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business and R&D objectives.Patent portfolio management: Patent filing strategy, prosecution monitoring, portfolio review and optimization, and cost management.IP risk management and compliance: Coordinate efforts to enforce the company's patents and defend against infringement claims.Collaboration with R&D teams: Provide ongoing training to R&D teams on IP issues, including patent filing processes, IP protection strategies, and the importance of IP in commercializing innovation.IP commercialization and licensing: Licensing strategy, partnerships and alliances, and market intelligence analysis.External relations and networking: Maintain relationships with patent offices, IP authorities, and other relevant regulatory bodies to stay informed of IP trends, policy changes, and collaboration opportunities.Your Profile: Education: Mechanical Engineering or similar.Experience in intellectual property management, including patent prosecution, portfolio management, and strategic intellectual property planning.Extensive experience working with R&D teams in a corporate environment, preferably in the powertrain industry.Thorough knowledge of patent law, patent filing processes, and intellectual property enforcement procedures, both nationally and internationally.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and cross-functional teams.Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with external partners, patent offices, and legal teams.Positive attitude, teamwork, proactive in the search for solutions, and capacity for innovation.Communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Spanish language required; French language highly desirable.Driving license B is a must.About AVL Iberica: AVL Iberica is responsible for the Spanish, Mexican, and Portuguese markets.
