Job Description Summary: The Parts and Services Sales Manager role will support the fast-paced transactional stream in Europe and Sub-Sahara Africa for onshore wind turbine aftermarket services. The role is an inside sales and sales support role responsible for leading the preparation and issuance of end-user and channel partner proposals for parts and billable services as well as developing and implementing strategies to gain market share. The key performance indicators (KPIs) for this role include sales contribution margin (main KPI), quality of proposals, quantity of proposals, on-time delivery of proposals, hit/win rate, and market capture rate.
Essential Responsibilities: Own Key Performance Indicators for parts and services.Partner with sales leader to define process to measure proposal quality, quantity, and on-time delivery.Report metrics on a routine as well as ad-hoc basis.Support sales manager strategies to increase market capture.Support sales manager strategies to increase performance of Key Accounts.Partner with fulfilment and billing teams on convertibility cycle times, and implement continuous improvement actions.Gain market capture rate.Regain underserved Customers.Develop winning bids leveraging competitive intelligence and optimizing price & margins.Drive monthly sales convertibility, by securing shipment of available inventory.Drive proactive sales campaigns (i.e. recommended parts lists, inventory plans, TILs).Build and execute quotes.Partner with commercial and fulfilment teams and systems to understand availability, lead times, costs, and prices.Obtain 3rd party offers when required, and partner with sourcing.Utilization of standard proposal templates and/or rate sheets.Issue quote proposals to customers, following the Delegation of Authority process and Risk process.Once order is received follow internal demand placement processes.Validate customer purchase orders (POs) for accuracy & obtain amendments in instances where orders do not match GE quotes, and ensure that the Parts fulfillment has a clear visibility to any special requirements, restrictions, liquidated damages etc.Provide proactive and frequent Customer communications (i.e. regular updates on status of open orders).Own transactional sales and operational planning (S&OP) for flow parts and billable streams in region.Partner with matrixed fulfilment teams on consumption rates and market dynamics to forecast and proactively plan inventory and capacity levels. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.Proven relevant work experience.At least 2-3 years of experience in energy industry in a commercial, customer service, shop operations, sourcing, and/or marketing role.Ability to speak, read and write fluent English.
