Job DescriptionThe Partnership Associate will play a cross-functional role, working with various departments including Partnership, Operations, and Product.
Tasked with introducing two new business verticals in Spain and Portugal — Affiliate Insert Marketing — the Partnership Associate will reach out to potential vendor prospects and close deals.
The position requires strong networking skills, a strategic sales approach, and a solid foundation in marketing.
DutiesLaunch of the Insert Marketing Business in Spain & Portugal:Identify and engage with procurement hubs of newspapers, eCommerce entities, among others.Broaden our procurement vendor database.Establish standardized SLAs with partner entities.Analyze and communicate logistical nuances of each vendor, including delivery timelines, procedures, insert capacity, and audience demographics.Collaborate with the data team to devise a model for piloting this new business initiative.Assist the Product team in understanding core elements of this new business, ensuring software development is tailored to client needs.Sales and Negotiation:Manage negotiation and closing of new business deals (inbound and outbound).Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients.Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of new clients and achieve revenue targets.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the print industry, business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of securing new business deals.Fluent in Spanish; Portuguese is greatly appreciated.Knowledge of the ES or PT media buying market is appreciated.Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies, focusing on achieving revenue and growth targets.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and drive business performance.Strong skills in Google Spreadsheet and Excel.Strong CRM and data/reporting management skills (preferably Hubspot).Willingness to travel as needed for team meetings/training, client meetings, and industry events.
