The Ecosystem Governance team enables the growth of a healthy and competitive Partner ecosystem. We collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of developers, product managers, lawyers, content strategists, marketers, and data scientists to ensure that our partner ecosystem is secure and reliable for our merchants. As Shopify continues to grow, expand its geographical footprint, and develop new product offerings, avenues for fraud and policy violations constantly evolve. Our job is to stay ahead of both existing and emerging trends within our partner ecosystem through policy definition, violation detection, and enforcement.
The Compliance Lead will be responsible for overseeing a team of Coordinators and Strategic Specialists whose main mission is to identify and address bad actors within our Ecosystem. You'll be responsible for defining and growing the partner governance incident response strategy, helping to develop our roadmap, owning the partner governance playbook, and providing coaching. Champion a program that addresses violations against our Terms of Service by Partners in our Ecosystem; operationalizing those processes and measuring their success, all while ensuring a low-friction experience for our merchants and compliant partners.Be willing to roll up your sleeves and participate in critical incident response and mitigation efforts.This role involves looking at multiple sources of information in order to make the right decision. You must be able to creatively seek out stones to overturn in an effort to protect Shopify from bad actors while minimizing friction for legitimate users.Leading a team:
