Acts as liaison with internal clients, outside counsel and external organizations. Compiles data from various sources such as legal digests and practice manuals. Assembles, proofs and edits drafts of documents, such as contracts, leases, licenses and insurance policies. Prepares and files legal documents with appropriate entities, as required. Conducts research on projects as directed by attorneys. Assists internally on analyzing documents, counsels on progress of cases.Provide paralegal support to the Campus Counsels. Assignments are typically on a project basis where the incumbent is expected to perform research, in-depth factual investigations involving interviews and document reviews, initial contract review, and review of legal correspondence. Identify further investigation that may be necessary. Organize and analyze material and information obtained. Prepare correspondence, memoranda and other documents such as declarations and subpoena responses, and communications with witnesses, University officials and others. Communicate on behalf of assigning attorney with University personnel, outside counsel representing The Regents, opposing counsel and outside agencies. Present information and materials obtained to the assigning Campus Counsel for instructions and determination of subsequent action.
