Job Introduction DAC Beachcroft is looking to appoint a Paralegal to join our Casualty Injury Team. This is a role working within the Casualty Injury Core team who focus on employers and public liability claims with a value predominantly up to £100k. Our National team whose clients are a mix of leading names in the insurance industry as well as household name corporates, deal with all aspects of defendant litigation, to include catastrophic injury, clinical negligence, motor, casualty, disease, product, professional negligence and health and safety. Increasingly, the team is getting involved in pre-emptive advice on these issues as well as dispute resolution.

What you will doEffectively running the file to ensure deadlines are met and cases managed proactively to conclusionEnsure work is carried out effectively to meet the needs of the clients, the commercial requirements of the firm and the quality standards to include:Adherence to internal and client SLAs, KPIs and protocolsAchievement of agreed financial targetsPrompt billing and collection of WIP and disbursementsPrompt and accurate provision of MIDevising a clear case strategy which is adhered to, ensuring cases are run smoothly and balance the commercial interests of both the Firm and the clientApplying appropriate and current technical expertise and case lawEffectively managing risk and compliance issues within each case, ensuring any emerging problems are escalated promptly to their Supervisor in the first instanceEngaging with clients where appropriate to maximise opportunities to meet and build rapport with clients, at all times acting as an ambassador of the firmContribute to Business Development and client relationship activity in support of the Client Relationship Partner where requiredMaintaining and developing technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions and reading appropriate publicationsWho you are 0-2 years' experience in a similar roleExperience in Multi Track or Fast Track ClaimsEL/PL ExperienceA high level of personal compliance with firm protocols and proceduresGood legal knowledge relevant to their area of expertiseGood organisation skills, able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload and meet conflicting demandsAn ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues.
