Multinational chemical company based in Tarragona is searching for a Financial Controller.
She/he directs and coordinates the activities of the finance team.
Her/his responsibilities will also include tax and risk management.Main functions:Supervise and review overall financial accounting procedures.Develop, manage and update internal control procedures.Approve payment requests.Manage surplus funds and foreign currency.Negotiate with banks for credit facilities.Check tax credits regarding investment.Prepare guidelines for budget preparation by all concerned departments.Receive budget estimates from all departments and examine them for correctness, accuracy, completeness, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.Analyze actual results to budgets and forecasts.Negotiate with insurance companies for all aspects of the insurance program.Prepare for corporate and indirect tax filings and other statutory requirements.Review new transactions and guide proper tax treatment to all departments.Maintain transfer pricing policies together with HQ and related parties.Monitor that related party transactions are within the arm's length range and adjust transfer pricing to meet this range.Check any tax incentives for new investment or expenses.Be responsible for written and verbal communication with taxing authorities.Prepare for tax audits based on reasonable cause.Requisitos:Preferably +10 years of direct experience in the petrochemical industry and +5 years leading teams.BS Degree and post degree in economics and taxation, desired.Fluent in English (C1), verbal and written.Availability to travel occasionally.Other skills:Commercial and business expertise.Excellent communication and presentation skills.An analytical approach to work.Sound technical skills.Problem-solving skills and initiative.Negotiation skills and the ability to influence others.Ability to prioritize.Ability to build strong working relationships.The capacity to make quick but rational decisions.Capability to lead and motivate others.We're an equal opportunity employer.
