The Financial Analyst is a critical role in the Aviation SEMEA Region PPM team (South Europe, Middle East and Africa Region Planning & Performance Management Team).
The role, reporting to the Aviation PPM Manager, works with the SEMEA region team driving business value by coordinating and facilitating PEC (period end close) reporting, ABM forecast process and other PPM processes, providing performance insights and supporting the business delivery of the regional financial plan.
This role partners with key stakeholders across aviation including regional business Leadership Team, Region Finance Manager, region business finance team, regional business teams, GBS PPM supporting teams and global aviation PPM team to provide insight and drive performance, execute PPM processes for SEMEA region and submissions to global aviation PPM team.
Responsibilities Support the PPM knowledge point for volume and Gross Profit queries for the SEMEA Region for PEC Processes, Performance Reporting, ABM (Aviation Business Management) Forecasting process and ad hoc requests.
Organise and lead required PEC follow up meetings to constantly improve processes.
Coordinate CAPEX Financial Planning, monitoring/forecasting, contact person for Business and Finance/PPM teams in that matter.
Lead SEMEA Working Capital forecasting and tracking, contact person for Business and Finance/PPM teams in that matter.
Facilitating the SEMEA region ABM process for the responsible area.
Owner of the Gross Profit location portfolio data gathering and analysis which will include Portfolio review as required.
Support Planning & Performance activities in digital projects e.g.
further developing and improving existing or new PBI tools and Performance tools.
Support simplification and continuous improvement in regional PPM processes, to streamline activities across the assets post re-invent and focus on value delivery.
Work closely together with SEMEA Business Finance Team and coordinating GBS (Global Business Services) PPM Team activities for the responsible area.
Participate in region PPM projects as required.
Essential Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree is required - preferably in Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
Experience in financial forecasting, planning and performance management.
Solid financial accounting and reporting knowledge.
Strong knowledge and experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills.
Proven ability to effectively coordinate and influence a diverse network in both finance and business.
Ability to interpret and communicate financial information with clarity providing insights to deliver business improvement and to optimise and protect value.
Ability to translate complex and detailed matters into simple terms and actionable data.
Good command of written and spoken English and Spanish.
