Enterprise Security Architect (Hybrid option)
Join a team of cybersecurity professionals and help Swiss Re to fulfil its mission in making the world more resilient. As the Enterprise Security Architect, you'll own the maintenance of technical security standards which the company adheres to including the development of new security patterns, incorporating them in the relevant standards, supporting the teams which operate with them and adopting them where needed.
What's more, you'll be working in a hybrid setup, balancing work from home and the office premises.
About the teamThe Security Team is the focal point for all security activities across Swiss Re. We are responsible for cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk and compliance. We define and advance the company's security strategy.
As a part of the Security Team, you will work in the Architecture and Advisory team which cooperates directly with our delivery and engineering teams to assess the environment for ongoing improvement opportunities. You will partner up with our Governance and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure the work of Swiss Re's security architects is aligned with the relevant standards and regulations.
We're seeking a highly motivated team player who is passionate about cyber security. As a candidate, you should have a strong background in security architecture and experience in the tactics and strategy of delivering standards in an agile setup through pragmatic problem-solving and demonstrable technical domain expertise.
In your role, you willDevelop practical and versatile security requirements, architecture blueprints, and processes for the application and solution landscape in our public cloud environment.Review, advise on, and approve security standards for a variety of technology within Swiss Re's IT landscape.Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers inside Swiss Re's Enterprise Architecture teams, driving long-term cloud adoption within their core and functional IT departments.Ensure the business domain architecture is aligned with group security requirements, and feedback business domain-specific requirements into the Security Team.Oversee and ensure security requirements are set and implemented during application development and adhered to during the application life cycle.Advance technical and organisational security competences and adapt to emerging security trends (leading proof of concepts, for instance).Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day.Your qualificationsNobody is perfect and meets 100% of our requirements. What we need from youPassion, drive, and a belief in the value of proper enterprise security architecture as an enabler of business performance.A career dedicated to security with several years of experience in security architecture or solution architecture.Significant knowledge of major cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods as well as willingness to dive into new areas.Can-do attitude with proactive approach towards challenges, producing tangible results.Expertise within several of the following cybersecurity areas: application security, modern authentication and authorisation protocols, cloud-native architectures, network security, APIs and gateways.Familiarity with creating, implementing, and reviewing security standards in regulated environments.Familiarity with agile application development processes and related security challenges.A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure.Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.Excellent command of both written and spoken English.Nice-to-haveMicrosoft, CISSP, SANS GIAC, SABSA, TOGAF or similar qualifications.About Swiss ReSwiss Re is one of the world's leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient.
