Based in Madrid or Barcelona, the selected person will be part of the experienced sales team of SMA Ibérica Tecnología Solar.
The job holder will be responsible for ensuring all Distribution sales targets are met within the designated sales area or accounts for Residential, Commercial & Industrial, and Utility segments.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and expand business (increase SMA market share) with existing local key accounts and acquire new distribution partners as needed to reach sales targets.Responsible for the sales of SMA inverters and solutions for solar systems (including storage) as well as the associated communications technology.Develop long-lasting relationships by providing professional technical solutions, consultancy, and product training for our innovative solar inverter solutions to key accounts, while also maintaining relationships with main Installers/EPCs as part of our loyalty program.Prepare, lead, and follow up on tenders for photovoltaics inverter acquisitions from main customers, and prepare the sales and distribution strategy to be successful in this bidding process.Conduct market research and analyze competitor situations, preparing forecasts according to customer expectations.Act as a close liaison with the local Sales Director and the German sales and product management department.Contribute to cross- and service-product bundle selling.Participate actively in trade shows and conferences.RequirementsHigh graded Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's, in Electrical Engineering with a keen affinity for technical products.Combination of a strong customer-oriented sales professional and an engineer, with at least 6 years of working experience in direct, indirect selling, and distribution of sophisticated technical products, ideally in a multinational company.Evident experience in distribution business, including wholesalers.Excellent Spanish and English communication skills.Highly motivated and dynamic approach to sales.Strongly success-oriented and flexible team player.Experience in PV sales involving local clients is an advantage.Availability to travel: 70% of your time visiting customers, prescription activities, fairs, and events.Location: Madrid or Barcelona.Job type: Full-time / Permanent (6 months trial period)
