The purpose of the role:
- Work autonomously to maintain & grow the business via the development of profitable, delicious, nutritious & sustainable products & solutions for selected customers.
- Ensure solutions are process stable, meeting food quality and safety standards.
Today, Griffith Foods Europe has a vacancy for a talented Food Technologist to join our savoury snack team in Valls (Spain).
Responsibilities:
- Support R&D activities that contribute to the growth of our product range and customer base.
- Develop new products for targeted customers.
- Act as the technical contact for snack customers in Continental Europe.
- Develop presentations, organize and execute workshops, and train customers in product applications & marketable formats in cooperation with sales and marketing.
- Create innovative seasoning & coating systems for snack substrates (e.g., chips, tortillas, coated nuts, rice cakes, extruded snacks, crackers).
- Actively seek innovative raw materials and systems.
- Conduct raw material evaluations.
Requirements:
- Master's/Bachelor's in Food Science or Food Technology or equivalent proven experience.
- Relevant and proven experience within the food industry.
- Fluent in English; Spanish or Dutch is valuable.
- Project Management skills.
- Experience in development and application of seasonings is a plus.
- Passionate about food and customer-focused.
- Strong team player and able to work independently on product development projects.
- Self-confident and enthusiastic in presenting product concepts to customers.
- Creative, hands-on, accurate, and well-organized.
- Flexible and willing to travel within Europe to support customers.
