General description : The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Science Outreach and Education Manager. Our mission is to lead, from the vantage point of molecular science, cross-strategies for solving major social and economic challenges, such as climate change and sustainable supply of energetic and raw materials, thereby contributing to the establishment of a knowledge-based economy and improving citizens' quality of life in our influence area. The main task of the Science Outreach and Education Manager is raising public awareness of chemical research as a key factor in the progress towards a sustainable society, following the goals and strategic lines described in ICIQ's Strategic Plan and Severo Ochoa Program.Tasks and Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of ICIQ's strategy for outreach and education programs and activities in order to make ICIQ a benchmark in scientific dissemination.Promote the relationship with the scientific and the educational community, studying the characteristics, needs, and motivations of the public and the researchers.Support the work of the educational community in its exercise of teaching science and technology.Be part of the teaching staff involved in postgraduate studies from the BIST.Coordinate ICIQ's current activities (courses, workshops, science fairs, online resources).Elaborate proposals for new outreach and education activities and foster collaborations with other institutions promoting science education.Direct the design and production of educational content, materials, and resources related to the scientific activity at ICIQ.Contribute to other communication initiatives within the Communications Unit.#J-18808-Ljbffr
