Job Responsibilities:Evaluates and selects manufacturers and distributors for raw materials based on quality, price, and delivery; recommends vendors for product evaluation and supports R&D qualification efforts.Supervises EU corporate purchasing personnel and plant buyers on special projects and on purchases of all inventoried materials for production and shipping via the approved vendor list on BaaN.In conjunction with Plant Management, determines appropriate reorder points and stocking levels of raw materials, containers, and purchased finished goods.Oversees the processing of raw material payables; negotiates non-standard payment terms with vendors.Reviews requirements and consolidates purchases where possible; manages supply chain effectiveness; modifies order quantities based on cost, production levels, and inventory requirements.Consistent with current material costs and in conjunction with Finance, sets or oversees the setting of cost standards by Purchasing personnel for all inventoried materials.Manages vendor On-Time-Delivery program.Manages Purchased Material Discrepancy Report.Actively participates in the RPM Center Led Procurement Team actions to negotiate price and supply of materials for the company and RPM companies as required.Special projects and assignments as directed by management.Committed to the Company's safety and quality programs.Candidate Profile:Good understanding of the paint industry.University Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.5+ years of experience in purchasing positions.2+ years of international purchasing positions.Experience with ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems.Excellent communicational level of English.Excellent negotiation skills with a persistent way of working.Strategy, customer-focused, and entrepreneurial mindset.Job Offer:We offer a full-time position in a team atmosphere that fosters cooperation and creativity; a management team committed to employee development and an environment where people are empowered to make decisions.
