The Opportunity: PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Define technical and digital manufacturing solutions and the associated sensors, controls, and software needed to achieve these solutions. Develop and deploy gateways for industrial IoT systems. Manage and monitor connectivity on a day-to-day basis and work with data, security and OS upgrades for gateways and machine vision systems. Establish site setup and calibration procedures and maintain digitized site operations over time. Develop proof of concepts and implementation plans for scale-up in manufacturing location. Assess innovative emerging digital technologies with applications to the business and incorporates these findings into site operations. Implement data orchestration pipelines, data sourcing, cleansing, and augmentation and quality control processes. QUALIFICATIONS AND CANDIDATE QUALITIES: 3-5+ years professional experience in smart manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or related field. Able to clearly communicate technical requirements. Experience with cloud connectivity standards, such as MQTT, HTTPS, SSL/TLS. Experience with hardware integration of Windows or Linux OS for embedded applications. Experienced in the development and integration of embedded hardware solutions for connectivity systems, including both IoT / Cloud based deployments as well as on-premises / local Cloud applications. Experience with OT Technologies such as: MES, PLC, HMI, Sensors. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
