Engineering Manager (Oral Solid Dose)Are you looking for an opportunity to manage and lead the OSD Engineering Department? If so, this is the role for you.
As OSD Engineering Manager, you will manage the human and technical resources of the department, to ensure the robustness, safety and performance of manufacturing and packaging lines leading an extraordinary team of engineers and technicians, in a highly challenging FDA area, delivering our medicines right first time and with the highest quality to the patient.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
Set the strategy to support production operations ensuring the GMP standards.Develop the staff so they can grow and thrive.Lead and coach continuous improvements across safety, quality, service and cost saving steps to change and gradual improvements following the Lean - Continuous Improvement principles.Promote the use of technology and digitalization to move towards SMART MANUFACTURING.Manage budgets, headcount, capital, business continuity plans and maintenance for 8 packing lines and more than 30 manufacturing suites, with the support of 30 staff.Liaise with multiple departments across site aligned with the Value Stream model.Provide technical expertise during regulatory audits and provide on-time Compliance records of Project Engineering Department.Maintain all site equipment, facilities and utilities in a qualified state, adhering to all GSK safety guidelines and procedures.Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering.Experience in a highly regulated (cGMP) manufacturing environment.Demonstrated experience working with plant utility and production equipment.Experience implementing operational excellence (OE) initiatives.Team Leadership experience.Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Master's degree in engineering.Demonstrated ability to manage across a matrixed organization.Strong knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements.The CV and a Cover Letter will be required.
