Oracle – Consultant/Sr. Consultant
Our client, one of Canada's leading professional services firms, currently requires an Oracle Applications practitioner to provide professional and effective application consulting services as they pertain to the Oracle practice. The team needs someone with strong technical application skills, especially within the financial, procurement, project accounting, supply chain or HR modules, who can understand business processes and translate these requirements into a configurable solution for our clients.
Responsibilities and Qualifications

Provides input and advice regarding Oracle Applications capabilities and functions to clients;
Build positive client and peer relationships by developing an understanding of our clients, their business and project needs;
Anticipate problems and resolve them in order to ensure that the project is completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding client expectations;
Participates in the development of processes and procedures for the implementation project;
Identify project conflicts or issues and communicate them to the Engagement Manager or Project Leader;
Knowledgeable of the various services delivered by the firm so that potential sales opportunities are identified;
Participates in practice initiatives (functional analysis, documentation development, trade booth participation etc).

A minimum of two years of experience of Oracle Applications knowledge, especially in solutions design, configuration, testing and documentation. Other requirements include:

Experience with implementing Oracle 11i Applications.
Demonstrated ability to analyze client business requirements and translate these into appropriate configuration specifications.
Strong understanding of Oracle modules and related business processes is a definite must;
An APICS Certification would be an asset.
A good understanding of the Financial, Procure to Pay, Project Accounting, Supply Chain and HR modules and business processes;
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are essential;
Experience in an internal or external consulting role is ideal;
College or University degree in a related discipline is an asset;
Willingness to travel, within North America, is required.
