The Financial Institutions team is one of the global specialist sector teams at the heart of ING Wholesale Banking.
The team provides banking services to banks, insurers, pension funds, asset managers, private equities, and other financial institutions globally.
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and managing our client relationships.
These are growing and evolving sub-sectors that require the full spectrum of Wholesale Banking products, which you will deliver in close cooperation with the various product teams.Your key responsibilities:You will be responsible for supporting the Head of FI Iberia in the daily client management activities and client relationship management for all clients allocated to you.
You will maintain an active dialogue and play a leading role in transactions that have a large impact on our clients.
You will work closely together with various product specialists across ING.
In all your activities, you will strive to meet client needs in the best way, using all of ING's products, knowledge, and international network.
As an Account Manager in the Financial Institutions sector team, your activities are very diverse, and your main tasks consist of:Building client relations and maintaining continuous dialogue with existing and new FI clients in IberiaDeveloping sector knowledge, as well as a thorough understanding of ING's products and processesDriving the strategic dialogue with clients and discussing beyond-banking initiativesPro-actively generating opportunities and transactions that serve our client's needs, taking the lead in responding to RfP'sMaintaining active contacts with other departments within ING such as Financial Markets, Lending, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, and Risk ManagementContributing to the team targets, including revenues, and maximizing the quality of those earningsSafeguarding timely delivery of flow business deal opportunities, and high-quality and seamless customer due diligence transaction executionPreparing and managing commercial and credit approval processes together with the FI Lending teamDriving and monitoring KYC activities for all clients covered by FI Iberia and keeping customer data information systems up to dateWhat are we looking for?You are an experienced Vice President in the banking sectorRelationship-driven, people-oriented, team player, and strong communicatorAn ambitious professional with a Master's degree and excellent academic resultsA minimum of 8 years of relevant experienceEntrepreneurial mindset and commercial acumenA pro-active professional with a strong personal drive and a high level of self-motivationKnowledge and understanding of the Wholesale Banking product suiteAffinity with the sector, and strong experience with banks, asset managers, insurance, and private equitiesProficient in both Spanish and EnglishStrong project and time management skills, with the ability to manage a large variety of tasks simultaneously whilst performing under tight deadlinesInternational experience and cultural sensitivityWhat do we offer?The time you spend at work, the challenges you face, or the lessons you get are very important, but what about your personal life?
