BilbaoPosted 2 days agoSATLANTIS is looking for an Opto Mechanical Technician .Tasks and responsibilities:Inspect product quality: Use various techniques to ensure product quality, adhering to quality standards and specifications. Monitor defects, packaging, and product returns to different production departments; Inventory control: Manage incoming and outgoing parts for assemblies, control consumables, and organize and catalog inventory in different rooms; Record defective manufacturing materials: Maintain the records and forms required by the company to report any defective materials or questionable manufacturing conditions of machinery and equipment; Clean mechanical and optical components: Clean mechanical and optical components using different techniques such as ultrasonic baths or wipes with isopropanol; Interpret assembly diagrams and procedures: Read and interpret diagrams listing all parts and subassemblies of a specific product. The diagram identifies different components and materials, and the procedures provide instructions for assembling a product; Assembly: Assemble components using bolted joints, following procedures and using different tools and equipment; Ensure compliancewith specifications:Ensure that assembled products meet established specifications; Operate coordinate measuring machines:Measure dimensions of parts and assemblies to check compliance with specifications; Align and secure optical components: Align components using tools and equipment to ensure proper relative positioning between optical and mechanical components. Bond optical components (lenses, mirrors, beam splitters, etc.) to mechanical components (metal parts, carbon fiber, ceramics, plastics, etc.) using adhesives; Use precision machines: Operate electronic, mechanical, electrical, or optical precision machines for verification and validation tasks; Maintenance: Support the periodic maintenance of tools and machines: calibration, certification, cleaning, etc.Support environmental testing (vibration, shock, thermal cycling, etc.): Transport products for testing when necessary. Provide support in the form of assembly, verification, photography, etc.Create and maintain documentation: Create and maintain assembly reports, non-conformities, and other documents related to the production area.Skills and experience:Experience and/or studies in mechanics; Experience and/orstudies in the field of precision mechanical assembly and adjustment; Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as in a team; Capacity and willingness to learn; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.); Availability to travel by car 10-20% of the time within a 100 km radius: visiting suppliers, delivering products for testing, supporting projects, etc.B1 driving licenseRequired languages:(official certifications not necessary)Spanish – native or high levelEnglish – intermediate level#J-18808-Ljbffr
