Description As an Optical Module Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating advanced processes and technologies to produce state-of-the-art opto-mechanical modules. Your work will involve close collaboration with internal cross-functional teams, external vendors, and managing engineering activities. This includes overseeing spec definition/alignments, design reviews, developing qualification plans, conducting data reviews, and performing failure analysis. Your efforts will be crucial in delivering high-performance lens modules for Apple Vision products.
Minimum Qualifications Industry experience in consumer electronicsExperience driving vendor interactions and negotiating technical specifications to achieve project technical goalsPreferred Qualifications Experienced in leading optical and opto-mechanical module technical development over the full project cycle, from initial design requirements to sustained productionKnowledge of and experience with manufacturing methods and processes used in the fabrication of optical modules, including lenses and actuatorsExperience in bringing up new vendors for technology development and mass productionSkilled in developing and implementing comprehensive strategies for tackling complex systemic issues, performing failure analysis, data analysis, image processing, and devising effective mitigation plansEffective communication and cross-functional collaboration in the areas of optical, mechanical, electrical design, and reliability teamsExperienced in writing technical requirement specification documentsFamiliar with metrology or manufacturing equipment development
