This role involves ensuring operational excellence, supporting product initiatives, filling, document processing, and customer service functions at the national level for import and export release procedures, while solving critical issues in operational customs clearance duties and coordinating with the local Customs Agent when needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Coordinate duties with local authorities for customs at the national level and fulfill operational requirements in compliance with guidelines from the supervisor.Maintain awareness of key import and export vertical markets to work closely with MS development.Support subcontractor management functions, supplier control, and monitoring of performance (customs agents, clearance and release, etc.
).Responsible for format filling and filing statements in cooperation with OPS within the country.Work closely with operations partners (AE AI FES FIS), customer service department, and Sales Team to define necessary products to achieve budgeted targets.Work in accordance with compliance rules and policy.Maintain relations with customers regarding post-landing transportation or inbound logistics.Support sales representatives by gathering information on potential customers for technical purposes or potential business in customs clearance services.QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.Self-motivated, capable of working both in a team and independently.User experience with CargoWise is highly valued.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Certification as a customs broker with national/local scope or equivalent is preferred.5+ years of experience in the customs department.Knowledge and experience in Air Ocean freight operations duties.Knowledge in cost control of customs billing.Highly motivated leader adept at working in a competitive, challenging, and fast-paced work environment.Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
