Operations Team Leader for Satellite Communication Services Do you want to be part of the project that will shape the future of satellite communications in Europe? GMV has won the contract from the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) for the design, development, and deployment of the backbone of Europe's critical satellite communications, the GOVSATCOM Hub .
WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?
The operations team will be responsible for operating the GOVSATCOM Hub system , which intermediates the provision of SATCOM services between the end users in the EU member countries and the satellite telecommunications service providers. We are looking for an Operations Team Leader with experience in satellite telecommunications services. As the Operations Manager, reporting to the project's technical director, the responsibilities will include:
Ensuring the provision of services to end users in accordance with the applicable service levels or SLAs.
Generating reports on service provision, including statistics, incidents, etc.
Contributing to the generation of operational procedures, in coordination with the GOVSATCOM Hub system development team.
Managing the operations team, including selection, training, organization, and daily task distribution.
Providing feedback on issues and improvements to the GOVSATCOM Hub system with the aim of improving operational efficiency.
WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?
We are looking for graduates in Telecommunications or similar fields who have:
At least 3 years of experience in the definition and/or implementation of satellite communication services.
Experience and skills in team management.
Fluent level of English.
We will also positively value:
Experience in systems with strict security requirements.
Knowledge of satellite communication equipment and related systems.
Knowledge of trends and advancements in satellite communication technology.
