Operations Supervisor. Vessel Inspection Spain We are seeking a Nuclear Professional to join Westinghouse as Leader of the Inspection Operations Group in Spain, based at our work Center in San Sebastian de los Reyes (Madrid).
You shall integrate in the Operation and Maintenance Services (OMS) Business Unit and under the Inspection Services Platform. Our main Customers are Nuclear Power Plants operators in the Europe, Middle East, Latin America Africa and Asia -EMEA-, Latin America and Asia (ELA) with a closer focus in the Spanish Domestic Nuclear Market.
You shall lead a Team of highly skilled professionals dedicated executing inspection services by application of non-destructive examination techniques on metallic components of power generation plants.
The preparation of the operations is carried out at Westinghouse facilities in San Sebastián de los Reyes, or at any of the locations of the Platform distributed throughout the ELA Region. Delivery of services is mainly carried out at our customers' facilities, mostly in the periods that the Nuclear Power Plants are shut down and out of normal operation.
As a Field Services Supervisor you will be responsible for leading the Technical Teams that deliver Inspection Services to Customers, including the following tasks and responsibilities:
Interaction with Product and Engineering Organization for the specification and definition of the technology products required to deliver inspection services.Preparation of technical and costing proposals for the services portfolio.Planning of service preparation, development and implementation activities.Setting team objectives as well as leading day-to-day operational assignments for the team.Leading field operations occasionally, when required.Ensuring Team Members qualifications and training are up to date and aligned with field and/or specialty requirements.Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.Management of the human group involved in operations.Tracking, reporting and management of costs associated with services.The selected candidate shall incorporate or develop technical skills in the application of different methods and techniques of non-destructive testing (ultrasound, eddy currents, visual inspection...) and the handling of robotic equipment.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in technical branches (physics, chemistry, materials engineering, telecommunications engineering, materials engineering, mechanics, electronics, etc.).Knowledge and experience in ultrasonic and visual non-destructive testing methods.Ability to lead work teams.With a good level of spoken and written English (minimum B2. C1+ desirable).Availability to travel, both nationally and internationally.The following will be assessed:
