We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our newly formed Spain & Portugal Operations team.The purpose of the Operations Manager is to provide directional leadership, high-level customer interface, financial risk management, cost control, and continuous service innovation within the cargo-partner Barcelona branch. Assisting in ensuring strategic direction is provided to all the operations teams, focusing on delivering financial commitments, standardization, process improvements, operational excellence, resource optimization, and operational compliance. Lead operational strategic direction along with assisting with the growth aspirations, ensuring clear accountability for developing existing and new sector client relationships and ownership of sector P&L.Here at cargo-partner, we are always looking for ways that we can do better and be better, and our brand new Barcelona office is just one example of this. As we continue to grow our global network, there simply couldn't be a better time to join the cargo-partner family.Responsibilities Commercial Responsibilities: Implement and monitor site budgets in line with Products (Air/Ocean), providing regular reviews and reports to MD on individual department performance.Help design, recommend, and implement the annual business plan and continually monitor and report to MD on relative performance.Manage projects/implementations: delivering budget initiatives & onboarding/supporting new Business Wins.Product Responsibilities: Act as a key operational interface between cargo-partner, Business Development, products, and clients. Maintaining effective customer satisfaction and communication programmes to support continued development aiding retention and growth.Operational Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a continuous improvement programme across all departments, together with a plan for growth and maximization of profit margins (Air/Ocean).Develop a Dashboard to measure and improve, ensuring failure to achieve is addressed effectively with the Barcelona Operations Team.Actively monitor and proactively manage achievement against Operation/Financial targets and key performance indicators.Identify improvements in operational productivity & service performance across all operations. Formulate controlled plan to drive branch continuous improvement community
