About the Role The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing the operations and driving business growth for a brokerage firm.
This includes ensuring operational excellence across teams, particularly the investment and Business Development Manager (BDM) teams.
The Operations Director will work closely with the Senior Investment Manager to align operational strategies with business development objectives, optimize workflows, and support the firm's growth.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the brokerage firm, ensuring seamless coordination between departments.
Collaborate with the Senior Investment Manager to ensure the investment team operates efficiently and aligns with business goals.
Develop and implement growth strategies that respond to market trends and business opportunities.
Provide leadership to integrate investment and business development initiatives effectively.
Ensure the firm complies with industry regulations while maintaining operational excellence.
Streamline operational processes by analyzing current workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster long-term business success.
Oversee the creation and revision of operational policies and procedures.
Monitor performance metrics and recommend strategic actions for improvement.
Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to achieve operational and business growth objectives.
Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to enhance its market presence.
Qualifications: Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a brokerage firm or related industry.
In-depth understanding of brokerage and investment regulations.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in managing operations and teams.
Proven ability to drive business growth through strategic operational management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple priorities.
Proven track record in optimizing operational processes and executing business growth strategies.
Local Certifications: SEC-licensed Fixed Income Market Salesman, SEC-licensed Certified Investment Solicitor, SEC-licensed Trader.
Preferred: MBA degree.
CFA certification.
Experience collaborating with senior management to integrate investment strategies with business development.
Valid license to trade stocks (both local and international).
Local Certification: SEC-licensed Certified Investment Solicitor.
