Operations Technician at Food Production Plant based in southern Europe.
Assisting in the General/Preventive Maintenance works which involve use and repairs of machinery, repairs on infrastructure and services equipment, and fine-tuning on production lines while ensuring that all equipment is well looked after and well prepared for its purpose. Ensuring that the machinery/equipment being serviced is adequately set and that no parts are left unmaintained, which could give future problems when such machinery/equipment is in use. Ensuring that prior to releasing equipment/machinery for use/production, he is to carry out the necessary testing and checking to guarantee proper operation. Assisting in the fabrication of machine parts, especially when these are worn out or where required, thus ensuring proper replacement and functionality. Performing overhaul tasks of electrical/electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic nature. Keeping good communication with his superior and colleagues, while keeping them well informed on progress on projects assigned to him and reporting immediately any mishaps and actions that are required. Ensuring that the company's policies and procedures, including those of health and safety, are always followed. Ensuring that health and safety policies and procedures are being adhered to by both himself and employees under his responsibility. Job Requirements: In possession of a Diploma in either Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Wireman's Electrical License A and/or B Have between two (2) and five (5) years' work experience in a similar role Have a good command (written and communication) in English or Italian Have good communication and leadership skills Be well organized, target-oriented, and can handle target pressures Be flexible in working hours Contract is for a 3-year period after which it will be renewed on a yearly basis following a performance evaluation. Maintenance Technician working week is of 40 hours. Approximation of hours worked per week is +/- 45 hours. Working schedule - Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:30 hrs with a 30-minute break. There's the possibility to work 1 hour overtime on a daily basis and another 5 hours on a Saturday.
Wage Package: Weekly Wage: €300 Weekly Other Allowance: €20 Yearly Basic: €15,600 Yearly Other Allowance: €1,040 Yearly Bonus: €512 Yearly Overtime: €3,375 Yearly Food/Lodging/Transport Allowance: €600 Yearly Gross: €21,127 Overtime Hours: Overtime is paid at the rate of 1:1.5, over the 40-hour week. Yearly budgeted overtime hours amount to 300 hours. The first month accommodation is provided by the company free of charge. During this period, the employee is to look for alternative accommodation while the company will assist him/her to find accommodation.
Each employee is entitled to 24 days vacation leave on a yearly basis. Each employee is covered by the National Insurance, allowing free public health services apart from the company's doctor medical visits.
