At Kantox, we are looking for an Operational Risk Management Manager to join our amazing Compliance team and hold an important role in the organisation.
Operational risk management is essential to sustaining Kantox's growth and safeguarding its innovative business model.
We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to design, enhance, and lead a comprehensive risk framework that ensures resilience and alignment with regulatory standards.
This role is key in proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all operational areas, embedding a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
An Operational Risk Manager is appointed to protect and serve Kantox's business and related activities by ensuring a global and comprehensive vision of the Market risks, Liquidity risks, Counterparty risks, Credit risks, and Operational risks of Kantox.
Meet our team: David Minguillon - Chief Compliance and Risk OfficerTristan Roth - Risk Management SpecialistRodolfo Uras - Operational Risk Management SpecialistThe project: Drive the implementation of a practical and effective framework that embeds a strong risk culture across teams, ensuring accountability.Establish and maintain a clear, actionable governance model that delineates responsibilities across the first, second, and third lines of defense.Evaluate and refine risk processes within Kantox, ensuring they are efficient, fit-for-purpose, and capable of scaling with business needs.Deliver Senior Management actionable, transparent, and timely risk analysis to inform and support strategic decision-making.Identify and assess potential operational risks, including those linked to new product features or changes, ensuring timely mitigation strategies are in place.Work closely with other Risk Owners and Business Units to ensure comprehensive, end-to-end risk management across all operations.Act as a key point of contact for regulators, supervisors, and group Stakeholders.Provide tailored training and resources on incident and risk management, empowering staff to recognize and address risks proactively.Who you are: Minimum of 5 years of experience in incident management, operational risk management, or a related field.Strong communication, coordination, organizational, and project management skills.Ability to effectively collaborate with departments unfamiliar with operational risk management processes.Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field.Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.You also have: Risk Expertise: Proven experience in designing and implementing operational risk frameworks, with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, control testing, and root cause analysis.Regulatory Acumen: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to financial institutions, ensuring compliance and proactive mitigation of regulatory risks such as DORA, GDPR, etc.Strategic Leadership: Ability to influence stakeholders, embed a risk-aware culture, and collaborate across teams to develop effective controls and enhance operational resilience.Our culture: An environment of innovation, accountability, and constructive feedback.A diverse and multicultural team of over 40 different nationalities.Grow your role and build your career with our learning and development opportunities.A collaborative and inclusive culture of sharing and teamwork.Hybrid working and flexible hours so you can work when and where it suits.What we offer: Hybrid working policy.Sponsored learning budget.Free private health insurance.Free Spanish, English, and French lessons.Relocation package if needed.Flexible working hours with an intensive Friday schedule.31 days of annual vacations.Gym discounts and free sport activities.Restaurant Ticket with monthly credit and regular cross-team lunches.Fresh fruit and unlimited coffee.Office with 360-degree views of Barcelona.Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:
