At the call deadline (11-09-2024), supported researchers must have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research, measured from the date that the researcher was in possession of a doctoral degree and certified by appropriate documents.Nationality: Any.Mobility: The researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host organization for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.Researchers wishing to reintegrate from a third country must either be based in a third country at the call deadline, or have moved directly from a third country to an EU Member State or Horizon Europe Associated Country within the last 12 months before the call deadline.Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).Candidates with an outstanding record of research achievements and publications.Specific technical experience:Ph.D. in life science/computer science or equivalent.Strong academic background in life sciences, oncology, immunology, or a related field.Previous experience in data analysis.Enthusiasm for translational research.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Scientific productivity will be highly valued.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:The candidate will work on immuno-oncology in ovarian cancer, which includes developing new software and/or using state-of-the-art structural bioinformatics software to study spatial transcriptomics data, software integration, use of the available experimental data and machine learning methods, drug design, and supporting experimental biomedical research.The candidate will also act as a liaison with several ongoing collaborations of our group with other local experts in computer science.S/he will also participate in conducting research and the entire publication process, as well as participate in determining research strategies and new research directions.WHAT WE OFFER:Full-time contract.The candidate can be only incorporated with an obtention of a MSCA-PF-2024 or similar.The gross annual remuneration will be set according to the aid granted, distributed in 12 payments.Flexible payment (childminding vouchers).23 days holiday and 5 days for personal matters.Training capsules by the company.Be part of an excellent multidisciplinary research centre with the HRS4R award.Location on the Can Ruti Campus, a first-class translational research environment in the Barcelona area, in a very stimulating scientific environment.
