Black Box is hiring a Data Centre Project Manager in Madrid, Spain!The Data Centre Project Manager will work onsite and will be responsible for managing all onsite day-to-day activities of the data center cabling and infrastructure build. This position reports directly to the Data Centre Program Director and will be the key onsite leader to establish and run the Data Centre build project.Primary Responsibilities:Overall leadership, direction-setting, delegation, and decision making for the onsite Data Centre team.Lead the data center build project as the onsite point of contact.Ensure project success by making key decisions and balancing workload.Develop and execute consistent and repeatable runbooks, processes, and tools.Track to a Balanced Scorecard with critical KPIs.Establish and maintain strong relationships with the client leadership team.Execute PMO standards, processes, and methodologies for project planning and execution activities.Mentor and manage the delivery and execution of the data center project.Direct all phases of the project from inception through completion.Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and technical performance standards.Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.Oversee the preparation of proposals, business plans, and operating budgets.Act as primary customer contact for project activities.Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.Direct the work of employees assigned to the project.Issue and communicate project status to leadership and other stakeholders.Onboard team members to the program, facilitating orientation and training.Manage project issues/risks in a timely manner.Foster collaborative working relationships within Data Centre Program & Operations.Promote continuous growth of project management practices within the organization.Achieve performance targets established by leadership for applicable Key Performance Indicators.Manage change control process and scope in accordance with the Change Management process.Manage project control fundamentals: monitoring, anticipating potential problems, and resolving issues.Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, relevant experience.Area of Study / Degree: BA, Project Management, Engineering, IT or business is desired but not required.Certifications Preferred: PMP, RCDD, DCDC.10 years minimum work experience.7+ years' experience managing large-scale / Hyper-scale data center implementations.5+ years' experience working with General Contractors and other trades.Consulting experience is a plus.Skills & Abilities:Strong working knowledge of large-scale data center infrastructure.Strong leadership, decision-making, and delegation skills are a must.Minimum of 10 years Project Management experience within the technology services industry.#J-18808-Ljbffr
