This new role within the Ebury Technology team presents a unique opportunity to shape and build our first React Native team. As an early-stage project, you'll have the chance to craft a ground-breaking mobile experience with genuine ownership, building Ebury's mobile presence from its foundation. You'll work with industry standard tools and technologies - and help us define what great looks like for our mobile apps.
As a Mobile Engineer, you'll work in a small, autonomous product squad alongside Backend Engineers, API Engineers, Product Designers, and Product Managers. Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting the overall company and Digital goals. Everything we do has a purpose and helps our business prosper. Rather than building a specific feature, you'll have the opportunity to have an impact on both what we build, and how we build it. Ownership of our React Native mobile app. Management and coaching of a junior developer. Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers through the delivery and iteration of new app functionality and experiences. Stay up to speed on the latest mobile development practices, tools, and frameworks. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Requirements: Proven working experience in software development, Frontend or Mobile. Proven experience working with React. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Quality is important to us; we expect your code to be testable and well covered with unit and integration tests. We use Bitrise pipelines for the deployment of services and infrastructure. Analyzing and optimizing UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance is driven by data and application monitoring.
