Role Purpose
- Design and build all components of our infrastructure following GitOps principles.
- Own reliability and performance of our cloud infrastructure, building a fault-tolerant and scalable platform.
- Run infrastructure in a cost-effective way.
- Develop and improve our monitoring and alerting systems.
- Drive automation efforts across the organisation utilising Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Crossplane, and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Assist with organisation-wide security considerations.
Identify security risks and incidents and suggest improvements and create automation as needed to detect and mitigate those risks.
- Collaborate with development teams to help them tackle technical issues and design new systems being aware of the underlying infrastructure.
- Promote a DevOps culture, enabling other teammates to make the most of our platform capabilities and tools.
Requirements Key Responsibilities and Knowledge areas
- Experience in AWS or any other cloud provider, Linux Operating Systems, Networking, and Database concepts.
- Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
- Prior exposure to Continuous Integration/Delivery tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Experience with scripting in Bash, Golang etc.
- Experience with observability and alerting suites such as Datadog, Grafana, and ELK stack.
- Experience managing Kubernetes Networking (on-site or cloud).
- Experience with Istio, Linkerd or another service mesh for enhanced networking and security.
- Knowledge and experience with relational database administration (PostgreSQL).
- Strong knowledge of security controls and best practices, including network security, access controls, and vulnerability management.
- Passionate about DevSecOps culture.
- Keen to tackle the challenges of distributed architectures based on microservices.
- Explore and experiment with new technologies that are the best fit for the problem you are aiming to solve.

- You will attend the office once a month with the wider teams working on projects and collaborating with other teams across the business.
- Based in Spain, France, Portugal or England and speak English as this is the main language of the business (Spanish would be a bonus).
