About the role Our Torrelavega Regional Procurement team, composed of 3 people, is integrated in the EMEA Regional procurement organization department and focuses on managing all sourcing & tactical purchasing activities of all goods and services required for the Torrelavega site in collaboration with Category buyers and site stakeholders.
As a Junior Regional Procurement Site Buyer, you will work on supporting the management of all sourcing & tactical purchasing activities of all goods and services required for the Torrelavega site in accordance with the Solvay Procurement Governance and in collaboration with the Solvay Corporate purchasing organization as part of the Regional Procurement organization, to support the site key stakeholders and you will be supported by a senior buyer. You will get the opportunity to contribute to specific transversal purchasing regional initiatives across the entire region and have a positive impact on cost reduction.
Responsibilities Manage purchasing requisitions: requests for quotations, offers management, negotiation, order and contract management, suppliers evaluation, claims management using the SAP tool and SRM7 module.
In collaboration with the Senior Regional Procurement Buyer and Category buyers, assume responsibility for plant spending in your relevant domains.
Manage local contracts within the limits of your authority.
Implement regional/global contracts in coordination with the Category buyers.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives with the support of Regional Procurement Management: cost and cash savings, risk mitigation plans implemented.
Monitor KPIs and implement improvements/corrective actions as necessary.
Implement Procurement strategies and action plans at site/site network level based on global procurement guidance principles.
Manage One-off (non-recurring) purchases for the site within authority limits.
Ensure correct application of processes, including appropriate buying channels, by all stakeholders within your own perimeter.
We offer A 6-month fixed-term contract (with an option to move to permanent) based on an onsite working mode.
About you Relevant education degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science or Economics, Business Administration.
Relevant work experience in Industrial or Logistics with a minimum of 2 years.
Competencies: Spanish (fluent/native level).
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) C1 minimum.
Experience in digital procurement such as SAP Ariba (Eauction).
SAP knowledge (eg. MM module).
Other languages such as French, German, and Italian are a plus.
