Under the lead of Alberto García-Basteiro (PI), the research group on Tuberculosis focuses on 4 main lines of investigation:Determine disease burden in vulnerable populations (children, HIV-infected, pregnant)Assess the impact of innovative strategies for the active search for cases based on spatial parameters, population density and microbial load in index casesEvaluate new diagnostic tools in contexts of high prevalence of TB and HIVEvaluate new biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of TBIn particular, the Postdoctoral candidate will perform tasks related to vaccine trials and diagnostic evaluation studies which are being implemented by ISGlobal and CISM.
