The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy, and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORISGlobal is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher who is interested in taking over and managing activities related to several projects in the Tuberculosis area. Under the lead of Alberto García-Basteiro (PI), the research group on Tuberculosis focuses on 4 main lines of investigation:
Determine disease burden in vulnerable populations (children, HIV-infected, pregnant)Assess the impact of innovative strategies for the active search for cases based on spatial parameters, population density and microbial load in index casesEvaluate new diagnostic tools in contexts of high prevalence of TB and HIVEvaluate new biomarkers for the diagnosis and treatment of TBIn particular, the Postdoctoral candidate will perform tasks related to vaccine trials and diagnostic evaluation studies which are being implemented by ISGlobal and CISM.

SELECTION PROCESSThe selection process is two phases:
1- Interview with member of the TB research group to assess the candidate's skills and CV.
2- Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional matters.
If needed, a technical test may be issued. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
