ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.Lugar Barcelona, Campus MarWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ISGlobal is seeking a Technician who is interested in taking over and managing activities in a project investigating molecular pathways, including genomics and epigenomics, between diet composition and cardiometabolic diseases. The post holder will work with Dr. Camille Lassale, assistant research professor in the area of Non-Communicable Disease.The project is supported by a Ramon y Cajal Fellowship RYC2020-029599 funded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 and the European Social Fund "Invest in your future".KEY RESPONSABILITIES The position will involve conducting genome-wide association studies and epigenome-wide association study (using DNA methylation arrays), in relation to various exposures including diet quality and specific diet features, such as chrono-nutrition, at various life stages: pregnancy, childhood, adulthood.Another important part of the role will be to use novel causal inference methods, making use of genetic data, to assess causality of the uncovered associations with cardiometabolic health.
