The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ISGlobal is seeking a part-time Assistant Research Professor who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project EPHOR, in one of the work packages aiming to investigate the effects of shift work on health by looking at short-term exposures. Effects of short-term exposures, in relation to the working life exposome, biological pathways, early markers of disease and key body functions will be assessed using external and internal exposome data. The candidate will give support to data preparation and data analysis of the of the EPHOR project, specifically in the analyses of hormones and inflammation markers.
The EPHOR project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 874703.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS: Having a PhD in epidemiology
Broad experience in conducting analyses of biomarkers and on studies in circadian disruption
Having first-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals
Having experience in working in an interdisciplinary team
Be fluent in spoken and written English
Degree in biomedical sciences is an asset
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Epidemiologic and statistical analysis methods for research questions within the EPHOR consortium
Advise on ongoing analyses and manuscript preparation
Contribute to data harmonization and data sharing protocol
Disseminate project research findings

1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
