.Job Description:Airbus UpNext has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to demonstrate the potential of a sustainable power generation source used onboard the aircraft. This demonstrator will have a crucial role in determining the potential of hydrogen as an energy source in aviation. This position is within the Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain and you are accountable for supporting and contributing to the execution strategy, organization, operations, and performance of the Industrialisation.MissionsYour main tasks and responsibilities will include:Generating architectural functional modeling of complex systems for energy generation onboard the aircraft, including thermal management and cooling.Driving forward the development and exploitation of complex multiphysics modelling.Sizing the functional requirements of a power generation system.Producing the interface with several components, both functionally and physically.Solving complex functional integration problems.The responsibilities and the technical scope of the job might evolve according to the agile working environment of the project, so being flexible is important. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks, including Export Control, and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.Required SkillsAt least 3 years' experience in complex thermal modeling, including cooling and heat exchanging.Expertise in the usage and exploitation of Multiphysics simulation software (i.E. Matlab/Simulink/Simscape, Amesim, Modelica).Expertise in air systems and/or power generation systems (i.E. APU).Experience in CFD appreciated.Management of requirements, interfaces, and engineering models.Master's degree in Engineering.Knowledge of aircraft platforms is a plus.Familiarity with management of technical resources.Able to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working.Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability.Enjoying working in an international, diverse, and geographically located team.Sharing the values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy.Eager to step out of the comfort zone.English is mandatory.Willing to have fun.You will work very closely cross-functionally with the Airbus Teams, as well as external stakeholders.
