Due to a recent investment to expand its facilities, it needs in its center in Barcelona:Sourcer - Engineering Services - Site Procurement Hub Europe What we offer: The Technical Services (TS) Procurement team is part of a regionally organized Procurement Organization and is responsible for the strategic procurement for blue-collar services for Covestro's European production sites.The procurement portfolio of Engineering services is part of that procurement team. The TS team has a regional footprint, so the position mentioned could be located in Leverkusen, Antwerp, Barcelona, or Waalwijk according to local HR ruleset. The heterogeneous customer structure requires competent communication with internal and external contacts on different hierarchy levels and at the same time offers opportunities to develop and implement process improvements together with the technical contacts.In preparation for maintenance shutdowns or CI projects, we provide support and carry out national or European tenders on our own responsibility, in consultation with the respective Project Procurement Managers (PPMs) or Turnaround Procurement Managers (TPM).Your Responsibilities: You are responsible for the procurement of Engineering services for the European sites. These services are of strategic importance for the production plants in terms of performance quality, delivery reliability, and cost optimization.You will coordinate the assessment of cross-plant needs and surveil compliance with group regulations.You will develop and implement joint procurement strategies in consultation with the technical managers of various production sites.You analyze the supplier portfolio with regard to the further development of existing suppliers and/or identify local and regional alternatives.You gather and analyze early information about site demands in order to create a regional forecast and to develop the required suppliers, contracts, framework agreements, etc.You play an active role in the cross-plant exchange of information regarding best practices, supplier performance, and market developments.You will be responsible for preparing and executing complex tenders and negotiations in a European environment, in alignment with Covestro Group regulations including contract management obligations.Together with the legal department, you will develop new contracts drafts or adapt existing templates.You analyze cost structures and identify deviations from market or supplier-specific conditions.You will work closely with all relevant Procurement functions (Local Procurement, Tactical Buying, Content Management, PO Execution) and other group departments (e.G., Legal, Insurance, Finance).#J-18808-Ljbffr
